Nom Nom's story

So what makes us different from other cookie companies? 

 

Although I’ve been baking cookies for over 30 years now, I really started to expand my recipes when I moved to the Midwest and started using traditional “heartland” favorites. They aren’t gourmet, but good, comfort cookies—like Grandma use to make. Using premium ingredients and no added preservatives, Nom Nom's Cookies taste just like homemade. Only better, because they are already done for you! 

 

Who am I? I am a mother of five, who has worked in a variety of fields, always as a second supporter to the family. My main job was taking care of the kids and running the household. Our kids were busy with soccer, school events, and horse shows. This meant a lot of running around! So I know what it’s like to bake under time constraints. It doesn’t always happen.

 

I started baking as a teenager growing up in Phoenix, AZ. My brother was the cake maker; my sister, the pie maker. I chose cookies. My peanut butter recipe is where I started, and it hasn’t changed much.

Who am I, really? I am a mom to five, Gi-Gi to three, tandem cyclist, adventure motorcyclist, part-time geocacher, and occasional kayaker who has worn many hats. A Jenny of all trades, to say the least. I have worked as a medical assistant, veterinarian technician, 911 dispatcher, park educator, animal control officer, and owner of a petting zoo. As you can probably tell by now, besides cooking and baking, I enjoy getting outside and spending time with family and friends.
